NPCS SNAKES: GEORGE AND MARTHA |
![]() George and Martha are the two snakes intertwined on the Staff of Hermes. In canon, they can communicate telepathically to demigods. The Staff of Hermes is capable of a lot. It can be transformed into a phone, a pen, a high voltage cattle prod, a note pad, a credit card scanner, and an iPod shuffle. The caduceus' tip can turn objects and people to stone. It also has a laser mode which can disintegrate monsters. For the sake of being able to tell the difference between them, I have had them take on their colouring in the PJO Movie-verse rather than see them as both stone or the same colour. George has an incredible fondness for rats. He is rude, terse, and a jokester. He is the red snake. Martha, however, is constantly scolding her husband. She is kind, firm, and more understanding. She mothers. She is the blue snake. They both like the Macarena and sing it constantly. In the Drabwurld, George and Martha appear as a red and blue snake. As the Mist does not exist within this universe, anyone can see two snakes moving about. As of Samhain 2701, Luke has had them unbound by their Greek magic. George and Martha are now able to leave the staff and slither away to invade anyone's beds and rat collection, as well as telepathically speak to anyone. |
COWS |
![]() For his Christmas boon, Luke was given four gossiping cows. These four ladies are loyal to him alone. They're sassy and gossipy ladies, but can be sent out into the world to gain information or accomplish tasks like any other followers! He has named them after four of the nine muses. As per the Disney tale of Hercules, they often take to singing zero to hero. They are Jersey Cows of varying sizes, coats, and temperaments. They can be found in the fields of Caer Glaem outside of the castle. They often take to the side near Luke's window. Often, they are seen with two snakes curled up upon them, shrieking at any time of the night when George returns with a snake. His cackling can be heard as he gains amusement at their displeasure. Sometimes, they can be found in Caer Scima after being teleported by George or Martha, but are often a blink-and-you'll-miss-them. They do not hold a grudge toward Luke trying to sell them multiple times. Calliope is the biggest cow, with a white marking on her back that clearly identifies her from the rest of her ladies. She is loud and abrasive, incredibly blunt, and will never stop talking. Her voice, however, is beautiful, and can soothe anyone who is tense. She is considered the leader of the herd, and often takes to ordering the other ladies around. Coming across as motherly, she can easily give Martha a run for her money with how she wishes to dote on Luke — she only wants the best for him, considering his father is the god of shepherds. She was named after the muse of epic poetry, Calliope. Cleo is of an average size with a coat that is various shades of brown. She is mostly identified by the dark patch on her face and her horns which curve into one another. Her hooves are always shiny and clean, and her coat is always soft. She is level-headed and often the voice of reason within the group. Usually found within the shade of a paddock, she isn't one to particularly enjoy the spotlight. She often likes to use history to persuade others, and never forgets a slight nor a victory. She is overprotective of Hymn. She was named after the muse of history, Clio. Ero is a hopeless romantic. She is the thinnest cow and rivals Calliope in being the tallest. With small horns on her head, she has a hot temper, and is often soothed by the voice of Martha in her head. She has white on her chest, legs, over her eyes, and her nose — as for her eyes, she believes herself to be the most stylish of the cows, as she claims it to be permanent eye shadow. She has a soft and quiet voice, and often spends her time humming to herself. She often wishes to give many people the benefit of the doubt and is not the type to curse them out for acts that the other girls often would condemn people for. She often speaks of love, and is hopelessly in love with love itself. Wearing a crown of flowers, she is the only cow who is seen with birds sitting on her back. She was named after the muse of love poetry, Erato. Hymn is the youngest of the girls. With a nondescript coat, she is pure brown, save for a few splotches of white upon her ankles. She is small in size, and appears as a calf. She is quite pensive and serious, and often takes to her own when she requires a moment of respite. She is the ONTD of the herd with her own quips, as she is very opinionated and set in her ways. She is stubborn, but is not unwelcoming to praise. She was named after the muse of sacred poetry, Polyhymnia. |
FOXES |
Luke asked the Black Shuck if he could remove George and Martha from the Staff and the ancient Greek magic binding them to it. He did, on the condition Luke ensures all the foxes the Drabkeeper has left behind in his death are found and kept safe. Luke's shadow begins to act strangely. His arms begin to point in the direction of the fox, and lead him to where it currently is. Anyone can see his shadow, but they cannot find the fox without him — nor can they claim the fox. |
