Luke is ranked at four stars and is A Knight of the Golden Cadre, Thief in Glory and a Marquis of the White Citadel. He is able to hand out one to two star quests. He can only give quests to Shardless and Seelie characters — only under very specific circumstances can he give quests to Unseelie characters.
These quests will be focused on advancing the Seelie Court's ambitions through negotiation and theft, criminal activity, working closely with animals, and working toward Luke's business ventures and his desire to no longer be in trouble with so many natives. A lot of Luke's quests are designed to keep him out of trouble. ( sweats nervously. ) Some of the rewards are very ridiculous, but if you've met Luke, you'll understand.
PLEASE NOTE I can only give out 6 stars per month. I combine my months since I am pretty lazy and forgetful. THE DATES ON THIS BOARD RUN ON AUSTRALIAN TIME. So, minus a day if you're not from the timezone Down Under.
SHIT JUST GOAT SERIOUS QUEST RANK: ★ DESCRIPTION: Deidre's brother's goat has been stolen once again by a man named Simon. Instead of wanting to keep the goat on his property, he's threatened to either kill it or sell it on the black market. Deidre can't go after the goat herself as her brother is sick, so she's come to Luke for help once more in stealing the goat back. Go to the edge of the forest of Eaglais and travel to Simon's small farm to steal back the goat and intimidate Simon. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 1.5k log of getting the goat back and ensuring Simon doesn't think to steal it again. REWARD: A satchel of gold, a carton of cow's milk, and a goat plushie made by Deidre. WHY IS THE RUM ALWAYS GONE? QUEST RANK: ★ DESCRIPTION: Brigid is a friend of Luke's from Leathann. In Caer Glaem for a few weeks in both June and August, she's determined to see that not all members of the Seelie court are idiots. She wants one of the finest drinks Caer Glaem has to offer. Go to one of the local taverns and steal a bottle Vieille Bon Secours Ale without getting caught. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 1.5k log of scoping out a local tavern and thieving this drink from behind the bar. REWARD: A small satchel of gold, a drink from it, and, if Brigid is convinced, free drinks from Loxley when it officially opens. OH MY COW QUEST RANK: ★ DESCRIPTION: Hymn is Luke's smallest cow. She had been tasked to scope out the local taverns in Caer Glaem. She hasn't come back. According to Kratos, she's being kept on a farm. Work with Kratos and free Hymn from her captivity and bring her home. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 1.5k log of scoping out the farm she's on and negotiating for her return to Luke. REWARD: A large satchel of gold, and a poem written by Hymn, as well as her looking out for your character from thereon after. CLAIMED BY: NOTES: Hymn is a talking cow and requires NPCing from me if you wish to interact with her. She is one of Luke's four gossiping cows and will take care of your character after rescue. |
MY GOODIES QUEST RANK: ★ DESCRIPTION: Ciara, a refugee from Leathann, has had a good lot of her fortune stolen over the last few months. A watch given to her by her father that doesn't only tell time but indicates if a person is telling the truth has been amongst the precious items that have been stolen. She's desperate to get it back, so speak with her and locate her fortune. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 1.5k log of your character assisting Ciara in locating her lost fortune and steal it back. REWARD: A small satchel of gold, gratitude from Ciara and a potential gift from her. CLAIMED BY: Cloud, as of August 9 |
FBI QUEST RANK: ★ DESCRIPTION: Sheriff Byrne was meant to report to Luke two weeks ago for a drink. His cows haven't been able to find him, nor his foxes. Search for Byrne and find out where he's been for the last few weeks. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 1.5k log of your character investigating Byrne's disappearance. REWARD: A satchel of gold, a free drink at Luke's run-down establishment, the Loxley, and The Inspector Gadget outfit. CLAIMED BY: |
IN MEMORY QUEST RANK: ★ DESCRIPTION: Clarisse La Rue had perished in battle and in turn High-King Ridire had died with her. Luke had been there when Clarisse had died and in turn has succeeded her position in the White Citadel. Luke doesn't want her to be forgotten, but he doesn't want to write a document for her, either as it's too painful. Ask around for the opinion of Clarisse La Rue and her achievements and write a publication in memory of her. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 1.5k log of your character researching Clarisse La Rue and the opinions of her from the Seelie perspective and writing up the document. IT'S CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW QUEST RANK: ★★ DESCRIPTION: Merchants have been appealing to the Citadel to pull together a force to stop river pirates from accosting their trading vessels and stealing their goods in transit. Luke has word that a band of river pirates are sailing near Srathmarbh. With care, track down these river pirates and steal back what has been taken from the merchants. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 3k log of your character investigating and planning to steal back the goods that have been stolen in transit. Remember it requires one ( 1 ) PC interaction! REWARD: A small satchel of gold, a pirate's hat, and a bottle of unopened rum. If you like sailing, Luke will thieve you a rowboat. CLAIMED BY: Hercules, as of July 1. |
SHERIFF OF SORE LOSERHAM QUEST RANK: ★★ DESCRIPTION: During the previous year, Luke had "accidentally" beaten a man by the name of Colm in a gamble in Caer Glaem. Word has it Colm is actually an exceptional sheriff and a really nice and generous guy. Ever since Luke's appointment to the White Citadel, Colm has been trying his best to have Luke demoted and jailed to no avail. No one in the White Citadel wishes to listen to him (or even cares) and he's threatened to go further. Before he takes to extreme measures, track down Sheriff Colm Blake and convince him to release Luke of his charges. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 3k log of locating Sheriff Colm and convincing him to forget Luke's win — and teach him a lesson or two in being a good loser. This will require some investigation into Colm's motivations behind trying to demote Luke. Remember it requires one ( 1 ) PC interaction! REWARD: A sheriff badge, a satchel of gold, a horse trained by Luke to stalk your character (or simply a horse that knows the way and you will never be lost if you ride him/her), and Luke's eternal gratitude. DEAR JOHN QUEST RANK: ★★ DESCRIPTION: For a good two weeks, Luke has been receiving letter after letter from Ennis. He has been claiming Jannon had gotten him drunk at a local festival and tricked him to sign away his family's lands. Ennis and Jannon are two lesser lords of two counties along the southern borders and have chosen to be a pain in Luke's backside by engaging in small skirmishes with the threat to bring chaos to the region. Investigate Ennis' claims to get him to leave Luke alone and settle the dispute between the two of them before it erupts into an unnecessary fight. REQUIREMENTS: Write a 3k log of your character meeting with the lords and investigating their claims, as well as calming them down. Remember it requires one ( 1 ) PC interaction! REWARD: A satchel of gold, gratitude from the natives in the area, an iPod with a collection of 90's pop songs uploaded, and a horse tamed by Luke that knows where you wish to go despite never having been there before. PERSONALISED QUESTS
If none of the quests above strike your fancy but the tone of them do, you're free to ask for a tailored quest from me. Please note that they'll take longer to get together as you and I both require mod approval.HOW TO ACCEPT AND COMPLETE A QUEST Select a quest that hasn't been claimed and that you're applicable to take. Remember that if you take a quest that is ranked above your character's influence, you won't be allowed to take it. Please note they can be either solo or team quests — the latter will be stated in the description.
★ 1.5k are straightforward tasks.
★★ 3k are less straight forward tasks and should challenge your character's skills and facilitate introspection on the task at hand. This involves problem solving and creative thinking, and you can fail at a two-star quest.Please send me a PM so I can keep a proper record of any conversation between the two of us and release information to you that is crucial for your quest. Please ensure you reply to this post for the mods' records. Once the mods approve your quest, we can thread out assigning it! Your choice is to contact Luke via his inbox or we can thread it in your log if you wish.
Please note that sometimes Luke is not available for handing out or receiving quests, and thus has a literal zoo of animals (from snakes to cows to foxes to dogs) at his disposal for assigning and completing quests. Let me know what it is you wish to do and I can have one of his cows or snakes give your character your quest information.Come back with an IC report (verbal or written) for Luke so your character can be given their reward.
Please note that rewards are negotiable, but also be aware Luke can only give so much within his skill set for now. He is a thief, a natural with animals, and is into sports and weapons and thus teaching characters skills in them. I will change rewards based on what your character does for their quest to make them better tailored to what you've achieved.Remember to comment to where you had previously posted for the mods to approve you're eligibility for such a quest so you can gain your influence!
