During the quiet year, Luke will be experiencing a lot of peace. Reflecting over his life and what he has accomplished thus far at home and in the drabwurld, Luke will begin the stages of grief. Moving away from Caer Glaem, he'll begin building his house in Noa Woods with the assistance of George and Martha, his cows, his foxes, and those who have sworn themselves to protecting the fur balls, despite them not requiring protection.
He develops himself a reputation as an incredibly gifted and well-sought after locksmith. Developing security systems that require very little to be bolted to walls, his work is well-known in shardbearer and native circles alike as being immaculate, well-hidden, and incredibly secure. Garnering a reputation as being athletic, one of a kind, and someone who never fails, he'll begin earning himself a reputation as a blue-eyed Robin Hood. He becomes known as the alepoú.
When he isn't blackmailing people with the information he gathers from his cows (who have gotten better at retaining the intel they overhear or are given), he's travelling the entirety of the drabwurld as he cannot sit still. Using the materials he finds to create his house, he pilfers libraries, minds, and begins making alliances and friendships with those — shardbearer and native alike — all over the map. He continues to find the foxes of the Drabkeeper, too.
In the meantime, George and Martha develop themselves a reputation as fierce snakes, the size of anacondas, as they begin to spread their lies through the grapevine of their own animal networks. This only amplifies Luke's reputation as someone who isn't to be second-guessed or even mocked, as, despite themselves being merely small snakes, George and Martha's bite is much more sharper than their bark.
When we return to Luke in the following year, he'll be more at peace with himself. Still self-sabotaging and self-loathing, he'll be less likely to remove himself from those who have stuck by him during the year, and will be more open to communicating, letting people in, and perhaps even becoming vulnerable to those he trusts.
PLANS
THE DRABWURLD LOCKSMITH » In the early weeks of the timeskip, Luke begins to create his own locks. His security system is unbreakable, save if another was to curse it or use magic. (By the time we return to him, he's attempting to curse his locks so no one, save the owner, can break in). It is a business that is not for free. He is also well-known for breaking into things, but this is kept on the down low.
TRAVELLER » When he isn't busy trying to break technology or locks, Luke's busy travelling all over the Drabwurld. With his snakes in one hand and his collection of foxes only growing, he's going all over the map to find the Drabkeeper's friends and to also learn the lay of the land.
LOCH HOME » With the disappearance of the monarchs, Luke's finding himself a little too at peace. For a boy who has never found respite within his own shadow, he returns to Loch Noa to begin to build a house. ( MORE DETAILS HERE. )
XOXO GOSSIP GIRL » He will continue to gather intel with his cows. Primarily, he'll be using this for blackmail purposes.
MIDNIGHT THIEF » Hopefully, he'll get in with the Midnight Court.
SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
Luke will, over the course of the timeskip:
- invent: security systems, and begin to learn how to create his own communication device.
- continue to find the Drabkeeper's foxes.
- buld his home in Loch Noa; he will have begun warding it by April the following year.
- would have travelled a good portion of the map.
- developed himself a reputation as a Robin Hood, a thief in underground circles, and not someone to trifle with — the alepoú
- continue to strengthen existing CR and become acquainted with new CR.
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) |
- MARCH - As snowstorms hit the drabwurld, Luke will be attempting to protect his foxes from the freezing temperatures more than anyone else. He'll be participating by rugging up and staying warm — and healing from his wounds from the battle a month prior. He will stay in Caer Glaem.
- APRIL -Luke's going to be feeling incredible remorse and guilt. He's going to be trying to sleep a lot more in order to destroy the harp, as he'll figure out it's within his dreams. George and Martha will become worried. He won't be able to shake these feelings. He'll be in Redgate * unconfirmed.
- MAY - As the monarchs have disappeared, Luke will begin thinking about building his own home — as he has for some time, even making jokes of it to George and Martha as his suite isn't big enough to hold foxes, his snakes, and he wants his cows near him, too. He doesn't need to scout any locations as he knows where it is he wishes to live — Loch Noa. He begins investigating the area, learning of its culture, and thus building his house without knocking down any trees by the lake. Luke celebrates his 25th birthday on May 27. He'll be in Caer Glaem and Loch Noa.
|
SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) |
- JUNE - He will attend the summer tourney. Participating in the joust, he'll first play it off as though he doesn't wish to partake due to a fear and dislike of horses will render him a non competitor. He will participate in the melee. Luke will be doing some side-trading, gambling, tricking, and thieving. He'll be in Treun and its neighbouring cities. In the meantime, those who are guarding his foxes will continue to build his house.
- JULY - Luke stays far away from Daonna.
- AUGUST - He'll be growing quieter during the early days of this month. On August 18, Luke will be mourning for his own death. He'll be in Loch Noa. Thereafter, he will return to the Cothromach to attend the Sunsoak markets to barter, trade, and even thieve, and will attend the Festival of Lights to float a candle upon the river and set a lantern free, the former in honour of his mother and the latter in mourning for himself and those who lost their lives during the Titan War.
When it doesn't interrupt either event occurring in the month, George and Martha will be organising with Luke's close relationships a funeral pyre to see him let go and forgive himself and begin the healing process. This will be hosted at Loch Noa, near the construction of his house.
|
FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) |
- SEPTEMBER - Luke will be speaking every language in the world. Whether this is a side effect to the magic going haywire or him trolling, we just don't know. He will attend the wreath festival as well.
- OCTOBER - He will attend Samhain and will see the Black Shuck once again, but this time, with a surprise in tow. c:
- NOVEMBER - At the word of the prisoners being released, he will track them down and return them. However, any prisoner he finds will be brought back alive.
|
WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) |
- DECEMBER - He will attend Yule.
- JANUARY - ???
- FEBRUARY - He'll attend the Ostara Feast to enjoy the lively atmosphere, and because he's someone who enjoys art. He'll be spending time with the children and having a lot of fun with them.
|
SPRING IN 2,702 (Mar, Apr) |
- MARCH - After decapitating several skeletons, he will be turning them to gold or stone to place within the garden of his house.
- APRIL - He'll search for the fairies as they were kind of nice to him — and he doesn't want to do any of those chores.
- MAY - On the 27th, it'll be his birthday again ...

slides in here.
This time, though, she has her dog, the little statue settled in her pocket, she has potions in a little vial around her neck and in a small slot on her ring finger and, most importantly, she's not going there on a quest or for any particular kind of dangerous purpose. She isn't going to be locked away with blood granite because she's going to make sure all the things she does are by the book, by the rules, and so she has nothing to worry about.
It's a little harder to plan, though, admittedly. All her magical things are locked away in Haven, her beaded back set to one side - because nothing will work and she isn't going to run the risk of the charm breaking and everything she owns spilling out. She takes the handbag Luke got her for Christmas instead, putting in some books and her dog statue, alongside a few other things that she'll think she'll need, shoving a change of clothes in another bag before she apparates back over to Caer Glaem to meet her partner in crime. While Hermione can't apparate them into the keep itself she can take them outside and that's what she intends to do, making her way through the halls until she can find Luke's room. She's been there before, of course, but it's a little rude to just pop over without actually knocking.
She does knock on his door, though, Padfoot at her side as he caught up with her from her own rooms in the castle proper and she shifts, humming to herself as she bends down to pat him absently, smiling as he snuffles and nudges at her hand, wanting all of her attention to himself. ]
who let you in.
[ when she knocks on the door, he's ready to leap toward it, but there's a few obstacles in the way. with athee growing bigger every day, the winged dog refuses to move from his foot, curled upon his shoe as akhilleus refuses to pull himself off of her. he thinks the light orange fox has a crush on the winged dog, much to patroklos' dismay, and thus won't move when he tries to nudge both animals off his shoe. ] Get up, c'mon. [ they've since refused to heed him whenever he defaults to english. with a roll of his eyes, his voice projects loudly, ] Jusqu'à. Bel homme, jusqu'à. [ akhilleus seems to preen beneath such a lovely endearment as he nips at athee's wings, leaping toward patroklos to engage him within a wrestle. luke sighs as he addresses athee, ] Παρακαλούμε να σηκωθεί. [ and she does, with what he thinks to be a proud grin as he takes to speaking to her in greek and using manners when he often uses curses. ]
[ with his foot free, he leaps toward the door quickly. he shouldn't be surprised when he opens it to not only see hermione, but for akhilleus and patroklos to take this as an opportunity to break free from their prison. bounding over his feet and through the gap in the door, akhilleus bumps hard into herminoe's leg as patroklos nips at padfoot's tail before the two chase one another down the corridor and around the corner. luke looks beyond her shoulder exasperatedly. closing his eyes, it's clear he's annoyed — or perhaps this is simply a part of his daily routine. ] Athee, go fetch. [ and the grey winged cub, small and soft in shape and texture, is quick to pull herself to her feet, minds her manners, despite being mischievous herself in nature, as she presses all her weight into one paw on his foot, eliciting a wince from him, as she insists on crawling through hermione's legs before she leaps quickly and hurriedly after the foxes. ]
[ he peers at hermione, carding a hand through his hair as he grips the door. for a moment, he watches as athee glides along the stones before disappearing. then, he regards her properly with a wide smile, acting as though he hadn't possibly lost two of his foxes and a winged dog. ] Hey. You want to come in?
my pretty smile.
The door opens, though, and distracts her from her thoughts - and she isn't particularly surprised by the fact that a whole range of animals come rushing out even as she hears Luke behind them. Mouth turning up, she hesitates before she watches the foxes break free, rushing away, and Padfoot gives her a bright whining look, the sound coming low from his throat before she sighs. He nudges her knee with his nose but, finally, after a moment, her lips twitch and she nods, his lithe purple body leaping away and chasing the foxes around the corner, a soft yip trailing after him before she laughs and shakes her head.
Then there's Luke.
Hermione's expression softens and she feels a warmth overcome her; it's easy to smile when she sees him, someone that she's always been around and always taken care of. She moves forward to give him a quick hug in greeting, her arms squeezing around him before she looks down and watches the other dog slip through her legs. When she looks up at Luke again it's with a fairly disbelieving expression, her eyebrow raising a little as she resists the urge to put her hands on her hips. ] Anyone would think you were running a zoo here, Luke. Am I going to see some cows in there if I do come in? [ She walks into the room all the same, putting her bags to one side by the door -- she doesn't think they're entirely prepared to leave just yet. ] But, more importantly, how are you?
no subject
[ he isn't watching the dogs as he's watching her. looking down, he misses padfoot by a few seconds before he's running after the foxes, too. he looks at her, brows raised, ] Yeah, they're 'round the back. [ and it isn't with humour injected in his tone he even says it, misreading her for taking her joke seriously, as his four cows are quiet today, grazing outside his window as they chatter amongst themselves about the knights he knows they were perving on a few days ago. ]
[ stepping away from her, he turns, inviting her without word or gesture into his room as he leaves his door open and ignores the fact he's lost half of his zoo the moment she knocked. they'll come back, today or tomorrow — if they're to take a journey throughout glaschu, he knows the four cows will gladly sneak them back inside if he's not to be there to open the front door. he moves to his bed, opening a bag and shoving a shirt he's folded roughly inside of it. ] I won't lie, I'm kind of excited to be going somewhere new. [ even if he's to travel all over the drabwurld, he doubts he'll ever be bored with seeing the mountains in winter or summer, castles during different parts of the year, as it's all an adventure to him. ]
[ he grins and looks at her, ] Wonder if I can get my hands on this blood granite. [ thieving it, like indiana jones. but it's clearly a joke, one that no one wouldn't take as a potential threat as luke has always thieved what has been thought to be unattainable. ]

All she can do is watch the animals dart around and enjoy being around one another before she squeezes him again, a soft smile and a glow of happiness around her. She's content, now, she's at peace, and she's been finding her place in the Drabwurld far sooner than she had imagined. She shakes her head softly, leaning away from him. ] Make sure to remind me to say hello to them before we leave, okay? I don't want anyone to think that I'm ignoring them, cows or dogs or otherwise.
[ It's easy to step in after him, to just... Watch him for a moment. Something settles on her, her cheeks pink, before she softens. Luke is... Well, he's Luke. It's very hard to put into words what he means to her, the comfort he's offered to her and the things she would give him in return. It's a slow relationship, a slow friendship, but she doesn't care. She relishes every single moment that she has with him, each second she gets to be in his company. It makes her brighten, the way he seems just as excited as she is to go around and explore, and she nods her head. ] I've been there before, so I can apparate us to the outskirts, but once we get inside my magic isn't going to work at all. It's going to be a little strange, so I hope you don't mind if I'm a little... Um, out of sorts while I get used to it. That's all the warning I can give you about that.
[ She does laugh, though, nudging his side gently. ] You could try, but please don't use it on me. I'd be a little bit... On edge. I don't really like it that much since Ganondorf used it to make sure I couldn't escape.

[ he already knows there's no way he's going to get around it. ]
[ he looks up at her, brows furrowing slightly, ] It's a joke. You never seen Indiana Jones in action? [ then he remembers she's hermione granger. quietly — and with affection, his lips curving upward — he mutters, ] Right, you're you.
[ pulling the strap of his back over his arm, he turns to her, adjusting it with his hand. ] Does this mean I'm going to have to pick locks the old fashioned mortal way? [ not that it isn't exciting to use his hands, but luke's gotten a little lazy with his work these days. being able to unlock locks by the sheer power of his will and knowing how to just sense the mechanisms inside has been thrilling to hone and harness. but he's forgotten the basics, letting that slide. maybe that's partially why he's excited to go to redgate. to be rendered mortal and see how much of a hermes kid he still is — to see who he is, without the glamour of being a demigod — is scary as much as it is thrilling. ]
[ but he doesn't particularly want this to become too serious. he's a natural jokester, wanting to prank those who have made a situation a little too dull. but he's also been a survivor, one who has used his abilities and natural talents given to him by a mortal mother that he doesn't mind sharing in good company. it's a portion of himself he keeps locked up, the fact he's been alone for so long he had bypassed being a proper kid and taking care of himself at the age of nine by being a warrior like achilles himself. his lips curve upward, ] I've heard a lot about this blood granite. Maybe I should teach you how to use your hairpins so a guy with a joke of a name like that can't get the one-up on the brightest witch of her age.
